Our Commitment to Safety, Clarity & Professional Practice

At The Regulated Learner, your child’s wellbeing comes first.

These policies exist to create a safe, predictable and supportive learning environment for every family. They outline how sessions run, how information is protected, and how safeguarding, behaviour and communication are handled with care.

πŸ›‘ Safeguarding Policy

The safety and well-being of every child is the highest priority.

The Regulated Learner follows clear safeguarding procedures in line with current UK guidance. Safeguarding concerns are recorded securely and, where necessary, shared with appropriate authorities.

πŸ“š Parent Agreement

The Parent Agreement outlines expectations, session structure, payment terms, cancellation procedures, and behaviour and safety boundaries.

This ensures clarity and shared understanding between tutor and families from the outset.

πŸ” Privacy Policy (GDPR)

The Regulated Learner complies with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal information is collected only for the purpose of delivering tutoring services and safeguarding responsibilities. Data is stored securely, retained only as long as legally required, and never shared for marketing purposes.

Parents have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time.

🏠 Health & Safety Policy

A safe learning environment is maintained for all in-person and online sessions.

Online sessions are delivered using secure platforms with safeguarding considerations applied at all times.

🀝 Behaviour & Regulation Policy

The Regulated Learner uses a trauma-informed, regulation-first approach.

Behaviour is understood as communication, and sessions are adapted to support emotional regulation and individual needs.

Clear boundaries are in place to maintain safety. If behaviour becomes unsafe, sessions may be paused or ended in line with safeguarding procedures.

🌍 SEN Support Policy

The Regulated Learner is committed to inclusive, respectful practice and operates in line with the Equality Act 2010.

All children are valued as individuals. Reasonable adjustments are made to support SEND and SEMH needs, and discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated.

πŸ’¬ Complaints Policy

Feedback is welcomed and taken seriously.

Concerns should be raised in writing via email and will be acknowledged within 3 working days. A full written response will be provided within 10 working days.

A clear process ensures concerns are handled fairly, professionally, and confidentially.
